Award recognizes outstanding voluntary contributions to the APhA, the profession and society
MOORESTOWN, NJ, March 13, 2018, Tabula Rasa HealthCare, Inc., (“TRHC”) (NASDAQ: TRHC) announced today that Chief Pharmacotherapy Officer Robert L. Alesiani, PharmD, BCGP, has been named the 2018 Hugo H. Schaefer Award winner by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
The APhA Board of Trustees selected Dr. Alesiani for this award based on his outstanding contributions to the APhA, the profession of pharmacy, and society. The awards and honors program at APhA is the most comprehensive and prestigious within the profession.

As Chief Pharmacotherapy Officer, Dr. Alesiani leads the Clinical Team at CareKinesis, a Tabula Rasa HealthCare company. He is one of the first clinical pharmacists in the U.S. with expertise to provide precision medicine, in particular, pharmacogenomic testing coordination and translation for people on high-risk medications. A Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP), he has extensive knowledge in the field of geriatric pharmaceutical care, and he has guided his entire team of eligible pharmacists to 100% BCGP certification.

The award will be presented to Dr. Alesiani at the APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition in Nashville, Tennessee, March 16-19, 2018.
Dr. Alesiani received a BS in Marine Sciences from The Richard Stockton University (1979) in New Jersey, a BPharm from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (1987) and his PharmD from the University of Florida (2005), where he graduated cum laude and received the Outstanding Graduating Clinician Award. He returned in 2016 to complete a certification in Pharmacogenomic Translation and Application.
