Dr. Leal aims to give strength to the voice of pharmacists
MOORESTOWN, N.J., March 19, 2021- Tabula Rasa HealthCare, Inc. (“TRHC”) (NASDAQ: TRHC), a healthcare technology company advancing safe use of medication, announced Sandra Leal, PharmD, TRHC executive vice president, has been elected President of the American Pharmacists Association. Dr. Leal assumed her position as president for the next three years at the 2021 APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition held virtually March 15, 2021.
In her acceptance speech entitled, “Be the Voice,” Dr. Leal emphasized the importance of being the voice of change and creating a dialogue for others who cannot speak for themselves. She is an advocate for creating an environment that values trusting relationships with patients and clients and believes that the key attribute of a leader is not being afraid to speak out.
“My role as APhA President aims to give strength to each of your voices,” said Leal. “I have always been an advocate for change, especially for people with the most challenge.”
At Tabula Rasa Healthcare, Dr. Leal leads SinfoniaRx, a TRHC solution. SinfoniaRx works with payers, health systems, and community pharmacists to improve medication management and safety through telehealth solutions.

Dr. Leal received her PharmD from the University of Colorado and her MPH in Public Health Practice from the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Leal joined SinfoniaRx in 2015 as vice president for innovations.
